    Description:

    Tulane University is welcoming applications for a postdoctoral fellow for the Department of Physiology with a focus related to studying the molecular mechanisms regulating blood pressure and kidney dysfunction. The candidate will be responsible for projects involving single cell transcriptomics and genetic/epigenetic molecular mechanisms of fibrosis and inflammation contributing to hypertension and kidney dysfunction. The postdoctoral fellow will supervise and guide students (i.e. undergraduate and graduate levels) and technologists. Generate publications; Contribute to grants; and Collaborates as a team to help with day-to-day operations of the lab.


    Qualifications:
    1. Ph.D. or M.D. in a Biological Science, within 6 months of hiring.2. Candidate must have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and
    imaging

    Preferred:

    1. Experienced in Single cell assay with some computational background 2. Confocal immunofluorescence microscopy
    3. Working with small animals4. Prior publications
