- High School diploma or equivalent.

- Works to create a pleasant, professional office atmosphere focused on customer service for parents, families, staff, and community members.
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
- Answers and directs electronic and written correspondence including, but not limited to, telephone, fax, mail, email, and interoffice mail.
- Prepares parcels and mail for outgoing shipments, and receives, unpacks and verifies, sorts and distributes incoming mail and shipments as appropriate.
- Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring the logbook, and issuing visitor badges.
- Serves as administrative assistant for district departments as needed.
- Prepares drill log and ensures compliance for required drills.
- Uses technology appropriately for completion of tasks and reports as assigned and maintains knowledge of programs used in district operations.
- Schedules meetings, secures facilities, and makes necessary preparation for staff training as directed by supervisor or Superintendent.
- Performs clerical tasks consistent with efficient operation of the office.
- Maintains an inventory of office supplies, materials, and equipment, or orders and purchases in accordance with District policies, procedures, and laws.
- Documents and files as required by supervisor, policy and laws.
- Maintains and updates personnel records and files.
- Archives and maintains documents following record retention schedule as directed.
- Maintains staff attendance records, time sheets, and required leave forms. Works with staff to complete required forms and/or online documentation as required.
- Assists with administration of pre-employment exams, required assessments, and background checks.
- Collects information, prepares/distributes reports, documents, correspondence/publications and other data and maintains accurate files as required by supervisor or Superintendent.
- Completes requisitions and purchase orders, places orders, processes invoices for payment, and maintains balances on accounts as required.
- Maintains confidentiality in all facets of the position.
- Follows all policies, procedures, and statutes.
- Attends meetings and participates in training activities as directed by supervisor or Superintendent.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by Supervisor or the Superintendent.

RECEPTIONIST/SECRETARY (Central Office Receptionist)

JOB GOAL: To function as the receptionist for the district and assist district departments as needed.
BASIC FUNCTION: Greeting and directing visitors at district office and performing receptionist, clerical and mail distribution duties; providing routine information to the public; and assisting district departments.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
TERM OF SERVICE: Salary and workdays/jobs to be established by the Board.
