- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources leveraging various technologies part of the Azure platform.
- Be part of a team responsible for operational integrity of the Enterprise Analytics platform.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years' experience supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, unstructured data sets, and data streams.
- Knowledge of Azure data engineering tools (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse) preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Anticipates and adopts innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.
- Nimble Learning: Actively learns through experimentation when tackles new problems, using both successes and failures as learning opportunities.
- Collaborates: Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

This role requires a high level of self-direction and be comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The Data Engineer will collaborate with the other members of the Data & Analytics team to define our company's data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives. This position will be part of the Information Technology team.
