This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Long Beach, CA headquarters.

    Your Mission on the Team:

    • Develop and manage the trade spaceof satellitedesignsacross a variety of mission concepts.Tasks include:
      • Systemsmodelling
      • Cost estimation
      • Generating and maintaining performance budgets
      • Component selection
      • Vendor evaluation
      • Managing high-level electrical, mechanical, and data interfaces
      • Generating and maintaining interface control documents
      • Risk assessment
    • Contribute to the development of satellite constellation architectures
    • Work with design and test engineering to generate test plans
    • Estimation of development schedules

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years professional design/development experience in satellite systems
    • Skill in using and creating software tools to model systems performance across a variety of disciplines (MATLAB, Python, Excel, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of satellite technologies, design principles, and concepts of operations
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering, or related field
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Ability to rapidly expand application specific knowledge sets and skills where necessary
    • Passion for understanding complexity and finding answers to challenging questions

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • 7+ years professional design/development experience in satellite systems
    • Master's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering, or related field
    • Previous experience with spacecraft and/or space mission top level design
    • Previous work on small LEO satellites
    • Breadth of experience leading satellite systems development and testing
    • Experience with creating satellite simulations and models
    • Satellite operations experience

    Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $170,000.00

    The base salary offered to a successful candidate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and influenced by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and scope of the position.
