Position Summary:
Provides interpersonal, technical and manual nursing care, within the scope of practice as outlined by the California Board of Nursing under the direction of a licensed physician or Registered Nurse.
Provides input to and implements medical care plans as ordered.
Performs nursing tasks, procedures, and interventions authorized by a valid physician's order.
Collects and processes specimens for testing per physician orders.
Collects, documents and reports patient data, care and treatment, and health status in a timely and accurate manner.
Receives physician orders and administers all medications and treatments within scope of practice and agency procedure.
Maintains safe, hygienic environment within medical facilities.
Safely and properly uses all medical equipment.
Ensure patients fulfill all outside medical appointments, transporting as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and maintain valid California Vocational Nurse License.
BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers and Certificate of Blood Withdrawal from a California BVNPT - approved provider within sixty days of hire.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Salary Range:
$58,240-$64,064
The posted pay scale for this position serves as a general disclosure. Actual pay offered within the range will be dependent on individual factors such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
