- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance with customers and movers
- Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations
- Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
- Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods (CAD)
- Fast typing with experience in data entry
- Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgement and critical thinking
- High school diplom

Job Description
Job DescriptionYour Contract Needs is looking for reliable Dispatchers to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles. Your job is to make sure each customer has an assigned moving contractor team assigned to their move, and that the movers show up to their jobs on time. If a mover is a no-show, it's your job to have backup teams in place to cover no-shows. You will also be in charge of hiring, and terminating contractor contracts, and help customers receive insurance from contractors when they break things. If a cross country mover is a no show, it's your job to have back ups, or handle the move yourself by going on the field, or being flown out by the company to the locations. Company is national, so dispatching will be national.
The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multitask as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
Responsibilities
Requirements and skills
2 Shifts (Part Time Shifts)- 7 am to 12 pm or 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm (Shift ends when tasks are completed)
Full Time: 7 am to 5 pm
Paid Monthly (Any goals not completed will be deducted from your pay $50)
If all monthly goals are completed, you are subject to bonuses.
(First pay is delayed until after probation) 2nd Month pay is not held
Customer Service Representative
Duties:
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and customers
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist customers with product or service-related issues, providing accurate information and resolving problems effectively
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policies
- Maintain customer records and update information as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any escalated issues
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and provide updates to customers
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely delivery of products
- Assist in dispatching drivers and coordinating routes for efficient transportation planning
Experience:
Previous experience in customer service or related field preferred
- Familiarity with fleet management, 3PL, and transportation management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of shipping receiving processes and procedures
- Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Proficient typing skills with accuracy and speed
- Experience working with Oracle Transportation Management or similar software is desirable
- Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking shipments
