    OVIP Network Engineer Intern at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description We are looking for a strong network engineer with network operations and Python Development experience.

    Job description displayed in the job posting. The NRE (Network Reliability Engineering) team is accountable for ensuring the robustness of the Oracle Cloud Network Infrastructure.

    A Network Reliability Engineer (NRE) role is primarily focused on applying an engineering approach to measure and automate a network's reliability to align with Organization's service-level objectives, agreements, and goals.

    The duties of the NRE team entail promptly responding to network disruptions, pinpointing the underlying cause, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to fully restore functionality.

    The NRE team members also oversee the automation of recurring tasks in daily operations to streamline processes, enhance workflow efficiency, and increase overall productivity.

    As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers.


    Mandatory Qualifications:
    + US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred + US Citizenship required. + Bachelor's degree in CS or related engineering field with 5+ years of Network Engineering experience. + Experience working in a network operations role and in-depth network troubleshooting. + Hands on experience supporting the following platforms in an enterprise level environment/ISP. + Cisco ASA & Nexus platforms. + F5 devices. + Avocent devices. + Juniper Firewalls and Routers. + Hands on experience supporting the following technologies in an enterprise level environment/ISP. + BGP, OSPF and other internal routing protocols. + MPLS, Dedicated circuits, Dark Fiber. + TCP/IP, DNS. + Extensive experience with scripting or automation
    • Python preferred.
    + Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions. + Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. + Ability to participate in an on-call rotation. + Experience of working in a DevOps methodology. + Familiar with VCS tools like git, bitbucket for code and configuration management.


    Desired skills:
    + Experience working in a large ISP, enterprise network, or cloud provider environment. + Experience working with python for network automation and network configuration management.
