    • Title: Quality Engineer (Onsite Customer Liaison)

    • Position Summary:
    • The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing inspections, establishing quality assurance testing models, and contributing to the development of quality control policies while serving as a key onsite liaison at our customer's manufacturing plant.
    • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Address customer complaints on two production lines, providing detailed problem descriptions, including pictures of defects, and affected part numbers.
    • Review customer drawings for specifications to determine conformance or non-conformance.
    • Report all non-conformances to the Company Team, collaborating to identify short-term solutions (containment) and long-term solutions (corrective action).
    • Log all reports for effective tracking and documentation.
    • Collaborate with Customer Inspection Team and Supplier Quality Engineers to communicate Company acceptance of quality rejections based on initial data provided.
    • Develop repair instructions for Customer personnel, if needed, to rectify quality issues.
    • Provide feedback to Customer Quality personnel regarding clean points and actions taken.
    • Lead/manage sorting and rework of any non-conforming Company products at customer site.
    • Daily report customer production numbers to Company's Plant Management Team.
    • Communicate any major schedule changes/downtime at customer to Company's Plant Management Team.
    • Record daily Customer Audit findings that pertain to Company
    • Attend and support collaborative meetings between the Company and Customer site(s).
    • Provide customer service support for service orders, part number lookup, etc., as needed.
    • Conduct reviews of cabs at the offsite paint facility (usually twice per month).
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Required Qualifications:
    • 2-year or associate degree from an accredited college with a major in Engineering/Engineering Technology or a similar field, along with at least five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficient skills in disciplined problem-solving methodologies and techniques (8D preferred).
    • ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
    • Experience with CATIA V5, Pro/E, AutoCAD, UG, or related CAD software.
    • Ability to read Blueprints.
    • Proven communication (verbal and written), analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (experience with SharePoint a plus).
    • Action-oriented individual with a result-driven mindset.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and team development skills.
    • Willing to travel 25%
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 4-year or bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in Engineering/Engineering Technology or a similar field, along with at least three (3) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with CATIA V5, Pro/E, AutoCAD, UG, or related CAD software.
    • CMM (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) experience preferred.
    • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
    • Welding experience preferred.
    • 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
    • Project management and customer interaction experience preferred.
