This position is responsible for engineering technical support and construction management for operations and projects from Pre-Construction through the Close-Out Phase at a site in Western Virginia.
Individual must be able to manage civil and environmental projects in accordance with construction designs, plans and specifications including dams, landfills, and storm water facilities.
Must have the ability to ensure that the project is being constructed in accordance with project guidelines, design details, specifications, schedule, and within budget constraints.
Individual will work directly with Contractors and Client for successful project completion. This position will be based from Covington, Virginia.Review and understand proposals, construction drawings, specifications, permits and layouts.
Collaborate and coordinate with project managers, support staff, clients, and contractors for construction engineering oversight.
Technical support and accountability for onsite operations of construction projects from the Pre-Construction Phase through the Construction Phase to Project Close Out.
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients and designated representatives.Follow and enforce applicable safety precautions and programs.
Evaluate and analyze collected data and prepare technical reports, letters and memoranda.
Support the development of plans and engineering documents such as feasibility studies and cost estimates, design and procurement documents such as engineering drawings and specification packages, and tools for contractor bid evaluation and oversight.

Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering; M.S. is a plus.
Ability to obtain Professional Registration (P.E.) in Virginia with experience.
0-3 years of previous professional experience in civil/geotechnical/environmental engineering and consulting.
Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
Experience with spatial analysis and visualization software such as CAD, Civil 3D, and GIS.
Willingness and ability to perform field tasks and oversight.
40 hr. HAZWOPER is a plus.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
