    Research Assistant (Clinical)

    Job Description:

    • The Research Assistant will work in the Center for Translational Neuroscience (CTN) in the Carney Institute for Brain Science, focusing on research with patients, including adults and children, and families with neurogenetic disorders such as autism, epilepsy, and related conditions.
    • Key Responsibilities include conducting patient-oriented research, collaborating with affiliated hospital settings, collecting study data, maintaining records, assisting with database management, and contributing to recruitment efforts.
    • This position requires fluency in Spanish and offers the opportunity to be involved in data analysis and manuscript preparation.
    • The role is instrumental in advancing knowledge of molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases at the CTN.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Education and Experience requirements include a BA or BS in psychology, behavioral sciences, biology, or neuroscience, with coursework in genetics and neuroscience. Previous experience with neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred.
    • Job Competencies involve professionalism, organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to support a diverse campus community. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some statistical methods is desirable.
    • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as travel between hospital-based sites, is necessary.
