Description
Performs difficult skilled human support work augmenting the primary health care physician in making medical diagnosis and dispensing medical treatment, and related work as apparent or assigned.
This position will focus on:
Maternal Health
Family Planning
Women's Health
STD
Adult Health - Work Physicals
Provides comprehensive prenatal, postpartum and/or family planning care.
Oversees and coordinates Maternal Health, Family Planning, Adult Health, Child Health, and
STDPrograms.
Performs clinic procedures, including pap smears, pelvic exams, etc.
Coordinates patient care with other departments and outside agencies.
Performs lab services, including urine micro, wet prep, GC culture, etc.
Trains others in clinic operations.
Thorough knowledge of techniques of interviewing, medical and relevant history taking; thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of general medicine and disease states; thorough knowledge of health appraisal techniques and therapeutic procedures; thorough knowledge of the dangers inherent in and the precautions to be taken in the use of drugs and other medication; thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures and policies pertaining to medical services of the county; ability to accurately maintain patient medical records and prepare reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and associates.
Master's degree with coursework in nursing, medicine, or related field and moderate experience in nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.
