    Job DescriptionSalary:

    Position Title: Inbound Logistics Specialist
    Status: Non-Exempt
    Department: Warehousing
    Reports to: Manager of Warehousing
    Location: Peachtree City, Georgia
    Prepared by: Human Resources

    Position Summary

    The Inbound Logistics Specialist is responsible for processing, testing, and recording all equipment/supplies and documenting any damage or discrepancies.

    Responsibilities

    Logistic Support

    • Systematize the receipt of all inbound shipments of material and transfers into the warehouse, including all documentation, system updates and internal and external communication
    • Verify all information on the PO for accuracy and the items received match the PO
    • Enter serial numbers into appropriate tracking systems
    • Function as a backup/support to the Fulfillment Team
    • Inspect inbound products for cosmetic damage and document findings
    • Maintain registry of failed/damaged inventory
    • Complete finalization forms for returned equipment
    • Test inbound products according to internal and/or customer specific SOPs.
    • Upload equipment test and calibration documents according to internal and/or customer specific systems and SOPs
    • Clean, sanitize, and package inbound products for outbound shipping

    Technical Support

    • Ensure the testing area and personal workspace is maintained and kept sanitized
    • Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot equipment and related system controls
    • Repair cosmetic aspects of equipment
    • Attend assigned training and workshops to maintain and advance knowledge of equipment and services provided by the company and industry standards


    Maintains Departmental Standards by:

    • Read, understand, and adhere to company procedures, policies and standard operating procedures ("SOP's")
    • Ensure compliance to applicable safety and security standards, procedures, and policies

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Participate in and sometimes perform on-the-job training (OJT) as required
    • Participate in annual recurrent training specific to duties and other training as recommended by the Distribution department and/or management
    • Contribute to the departmental key performance indicators (KPI)
    • Participate in daily and weekly meetings conducted by department and management
    • Actively participate in environmental, health and safety processes and procedures

    Qualifications & Experience

    • HS diploma/GED is required
    • Technical/College preferred
    • Minimum 2 years' logistics experience
    • Computer and/or system configuration skills a plus

    Demonstrated Capabilities

    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects with sense of urgency, diplomacy and confidentiality
    • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and high attention to detail
    • Ability to function and adapt in a fast-paced environment with flexibility
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting

    Communication Skills

    • Written and verbal fluency in English

    Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

    • Lifting and Carrying: Able to carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis
    • Hearing: Corrected hearing able to respond to emergency alarms, alerts, and warnings Ability to hear via telephone, teleconference, and work-related conversations
    • Pushing/Pulling/Manipulation: Able to push and pull items in the workplace
    • Sitting: Able to sit and work in front of a computer or other machine for extended periods of time
    • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to squat and kneel as needed to retrieve or place items on low shelving
    • Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time
    • Physical requirements are like a moderate activity job
