Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading rehabilitation medical center in Spokane, WA to find a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Inpatient Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Unit.

About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting chance for a skilled and compassionate RN to make a real difference in the lives of patients recovering from spinal cord injuries. You will provide comprehensive care within a collaborative team environment, working alongside physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized rehabilitation plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional bedside care to patients with spinal cord injuries, focusing on rehabilitation goals and promoting independence.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on spinal cord injury management, self-care techniques, and discharge planning.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain a safe and positive patient environment.
• Participate in unit-based education and stay up-to-date on best practices in spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Washington State RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a med-surg or rehabilitation setting, with some experience in spinal cord injury care preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for providing patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
