We are seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to join our team on California's Central Coast for a travel position.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare facility.
Location:
Templeton, CA 93465
Duration: 13 weeks or more
Shift:
Day shifts, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescriptions and regulatory requirements.
2. Review medication orders and patient profiles for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
3. Provide drug information and counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and precautions.
4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
5. Monitor medication therapy and patient responses, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
6. Participate in medication reconciliation processes to ensure continuity of care.
7. Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed, interventions made, and patient consultations.
8. Oversee the storage, handling, and disposal of medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
10. Stay informed about developments in pharmacy practice, regulations, and drug therapies.
11. Utilize pharmacy technology systems effectively, including Cerner and Omnicell.
12. Provide support and guidance to pharmacy technicians and other staff members as needed.
13. Comply with all state and federal laws, regulations, and professional standards governing pharmacy practice.
