The Pre-K PAR teacher in waiting is expected to participate in up to eight (8) cognitive coaching sessions, four (4) PAR Panel meetings, and approximately four (4) calibration meetings. The PAR teacher in waiting is appointed to become a PAR Teacher once a vacancy arises. Once activated, the PAR teacher shall observe and provide feedback to first-year teachers regarding their professional practice. Consultants will make ongoing recommendations to the PAR Panel regarding employment status based on whether the first-year teacher meets the professional standards of the District as stated in the Model for Practitioner Evaluation document.
