    Description


    We are now working to meet the expanding needs of our own internal team by searching for a mission-focused
    Human Resources Manager who can successfully lead the Human Resources team and function in achieving success across our own multi-faceted organization.

    In this newly established position, the Human Resources Manager will cultivate a collaborative atmosphere, partnering with executive leaders to craft strategic organizational and HR strategies.

    Simultaneously, they will lead the HR team in ensuring the adoption of industry best practices throughout the employee lifecycle, encompassing talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and leave administration.


    FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Partner with the AAWDC leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall AAWDC business plans.
    • Provide direct supervision, mentorship and guidance to AAWDC HR team members.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and processes to recommend best practices and maintain compliance.
    • Lead the HR team in managing the full cycle talent acquisition and performance management processes to ensure successful candidate and employee experiences.
    o Manages AAWDC's salary administration and reporting; stays abreast of competitive market compensation practices and data.


    • Lead and/or provide support and guidance to Sr HR Generalist and management and employees on disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Develops and manages the learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities and ensures employee understanding of AAWDC policies and procedures.
    • Supports the Senior HR Generalist in managing the relationship with external brokers and benefits administrators to effectively administer AAWDC's benefit and leave programs.

    Requirements


    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
    • A minimum of three years prior human resource management experience preferred
    • Prior HR experience in a non-profit or mission-oriented organization ideal
    • Human Resources certification credentials (SHRM or HRCI) highly desired
    • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS

    • Proven ability to learn and apply new technologies, systems, processes, and applications
    • Strong project management skills
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and federal and state regulations
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

    Work Environment:


    • General office environment.
    • Standard Office Hours for this position is 8:30 am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
    • Position may require some local travel to AAWDC's Career Center for meetings.

    Physical Demands:


    • This position requires movement inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
