    Responsibilities:
    Research and monitor availability of grants for projects and programs.

    Perform and/or assist with the performance of a wide variety of grant functions, evaluate programs and grants, and facilitate local planning.

    Provide detailed grant and proposal development from understanding proposal requirements and deadlines to producing original content and proofing proposals prior to timely submission.

    Conduct analytical studies and collect, compile and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.


    Essential Duties:
    Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
    Organize and prioritize work assignments.
    Use automated technology to maintain records and files.
    Examine the needs of the local service area and develop a plan to ensure needs are met.
    Work with sensitive and confidential information.

    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersSchedule:
    This is a full-time/exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department

    QualificationsQualifications:


    Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Human Services, Public Administration, Accounting, Business Administration, Political Science, Communications, English, Journalism or a related field.

    ANDAt least three (3) years of demonstrable experience performing a variety of grant administration, writing, managing, and reporting, or other high-level analytical/administrative functions.


    Skills & Abilities:

    Knowledge of:
    Technical Writing. Principles and practices of grant and program administration.
    Analytical techniques including statistical data gathering, report writing, program evaluation, and presentation methods.
    Local service area planning.

    Office procedures, methods, and equipment including, computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other specialized applications related to area of assignment.

    Principles and practices of record management, work-load management, quality control and program review.
    Applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
    English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.


    Additional Requirements:
    Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
    Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
