    Homewood Suites Ovation's new build is looking for a top-performing Hotel

    Opening Director of Sales.


    Homewood Suites Ovation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Opening Director of Sales to oversee all aspects of our hotel operations.

    As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service, managing daily activities, and maximizing revenue.

    The ideal Opening Director of Sales candidate will have a strong background in hotel management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.


    The Homewood Suites is Hilton's flagship, upscale, extended-stay brand, and this hotel will be built to Hilton's newly updated design standards.

    Catering to both leisure and business travelers alike, Homewood's guests can look forward to the extra space provided by rooms with separate sleeping and living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and full-sized refrigerators.


    The hotel, located at 201 West 4th Newport, will also have a plaza-level restaurant with a bar and a rooftop bar that will overlook the unique views of the riverfront and Cincinnati skyline.

    Additional amenities will include a fitness center, on-site laundry facilities, and access to the planned Ovation Membership Club.

    This state-of-the-art health and wellness club will feature a full-service spa, group exercise classes, locker rooms, meeting space, and dedicated floors for both cardio and free weights, all nestled around a heated roof deck pool.

    Some Key Areas of Responsibility for the Hotel Director of Sales include:

    Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability
    Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast
    Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives
    Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue
    Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses

    Requirements for the Opening Hotel Director of Sales include:

    A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
    5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required
    Proven track record of sales success in lead generation and closing skills
    Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
    Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
    Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
