    The Opportunity


    We're growing our Business Development organization and looking for rockstar BDRs to help us take the business to the next level and lay the foundation of our BDR Org.

    This person will be responsible for building relationships across the industry, uncovering new business opportunities, and producing qualified leads to the Sales Org.


    This is a super exciting opportunity to make a big impact at an early stage retail tech startup, work closely with the CEO and founding team, and quickly evolve into a closing role at an organization that is disrupting the retail industry through better technology.

    Salary:
    $60,000 - $70,000 base plus commission

    You're an adaptable team player, but able to prioritize and focus.

    As one of the first Business Development Representatives, you'll have to think on your feet to manage changing organizational priorities in a startup environment, while never losing sight of the activities that help you generate qualified leads.

    You aren't afraid of rejection and you're willing to put in the hard work required to prospect new leads and find opportunities.

    This is not an easy job, and the most successful BDRs are those who work to better themselves every day.

    Qualifications

    1+ years SaaS Business Development experience
    Retail industry experience/knowledge (especially merchandising/planning)
    Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills
    Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle time effectively
    Positive, high-energy, can-do attitude, coachable
    Experience in content creation (blogs, social media, marketing etc)

    What You'll Do

    Spearhead growth and adoption of Toolio within the retail industry through building relationships with leading brands and key influencers
    Uncover new business opportunities - calling into executives at brands the caliber of Brooklinen, Bonobos, UNTUCKit - and introduce them to the Toolio platform through creative outreach techniques and strategies
    Understand the client's challenges and needs and become an expert to how Toolio can implement best practices to their organization to save them time, reduce errors, and enable them to make faster, data driven decisions
    Work closely with our Account Executives to close business, continuously focusing on the development of your sales skills.
    Learn the intricacies of sales processes: quotas, pipeline management, selling and ultimately closing techniques.
    Support the Growth team in creating sales material including email templates and campaigns, marketing documents, case studies, and enablement material

    First Month

    Dive into our sales tech stack (ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Gong, Salesforce, Salesloft) and begin crafting your unique workflows
    Take over ownership over your Target Account List and start reaching out to high caliber prospects
    Continue to dive into the retail landscape and understand our prospects unique problems

    First 6 Months

    Influence the growing and ever-changing sales and marketing organization
    Gain exposure to the Account Executive role through hands on learning with our Sales team
    Build your network with countless high-growth DTC brands and get obsessed with solving an age old merchandising problem and their "this is possible?" reaction

    Our Company And Founders


    Toolio is a global operation with headquarters in NYC and offices in Istanbul, built by an ex-Walmart team of second-time entrepreneurs and backed by top VCs and apparel industry executives.

    Our founders, Berk and Eytan, are serial entrepreneurs who have worked together for almost 10 years. Their previous company, Stylr, was acquired by Walmart Labs in 2014.

    Over a successful 5 year tenure at Walmart, they lead teams that delivered various groundbreaking products like Sam's Club Scan & Go and Walmart Pay which reach millions of users and process billions of dollars each year.

    During this time, Berk and Eytan observed how the tools used by planners and merchants were years behind the technology they had built for consumers.

    So they set out on a mission to change this by building a modern merchandising platform, Toolio.
