    Job Summary

    The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Coordinator will develop a flexible, well-trained, and compliant workforce within a kitchen environment.

    This position implements and is responsible for training and EH&S management system across multiple locations, ensuring that activities are effectively managed, continuously improved and aligned with regulations and Culinary operations.

    Job Description

    Essential Functions
    Responsible for achieving company objectives and goals.
    Foster and promote the Flagship brand and values within the client's culinary culture.

    Collaborate with chefs and kitchen managers to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.

    Responsible for driving EH&S management systems across multiple locations, standardizing programs and ensuring alignments across multiple operations.
    Conduct safety training and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
    Assist Flagship investigation teams to identify root cause and corrective actions from incidences.

    Analyze data to identify workplace health and safety risk trends, recommends, and monitors actions to mitigate risk and develop prevention strategies/programs.

    Attends and facilitates meetings. Uses a variety of software applicants to provide reports, analyze data, and present information using written and multi-media strategies.
    Drives employee engagement programs for safety performance improvement.
    Develop job safety analysis, procedures, and machine risk assessments for current and new jobs.
    Supports site safety and subcommittees.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Skills
    Interpersonal and organizational skills.
    Excellent restaurant/hotel/catering managerial experience. Excellent verbal skills.
    Excellent multi-tasking skills.
    Excellent customer service skills. Ability to manage and lead a team.
    Skilled at using Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

    Knowledge in the technical fundamentals of safety management and risk assessment and reduction, including loss prevention, ergonomics, and occupational health.

    Education and Work Experience


    Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety or related field or 1-3 years' experience with high performance safety cultures is desired, but not required.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes the following large kitchen environment elements and exposures:
    Fast paced kitchen, in which interruptions are considered normal.
    Sharing workspace with others.
    Moderate to high noise level. Slippery/uneven surfaces may be encountered.

    Requirements

    Must have and maintain an active management level food handler certification ( i.e. ServSafe and/or other local state required certification) and adhere to local food handlers requirements.

    Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
