    What You'll Do:

    Support the advancement of materials and processes for the Midnight aircraft program. Manage projects including process development, supplier development and material qualification test programs.

    • Write Material and Process specifications, test plans and work instructions, and generate detailed reports on test results
    • Lead material characterization, testing and material specification development
    • Coordinate panel and part builds with external suppliers and in house labs
    • Support low rate initial productions builds at part suppliers
    • Support material testing at internal and external labs
    • Support development of new materials and processes engineering lab at production facility

    What You Need:

    • 15+ years of experience across a broad range of aerospace materials and processes
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field, M.S. preferred
    • Proven experience in material selection, material testing and qualification efforts, process specification reviews, and build support
    • Knowledge of standard test methods for composite and adhesive materials, including analyzing and interpreting results
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written technical reports and oral presentations to technical and managerial audiences
    • Experience in solving problems related to M&P in a manufacturing operational setting
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering groups to develop, qualify and implement manufacturing process specifications
    • Experience with analyzing and dispositioning non-conformances
    • Knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft

    Bonus Qualifications:

    • Deep understanding of a variety of manufacturing methods, including metallic and composite structures
    • Understanding of how to prevent galvanic corrosion with composite aircraft structures
    • Experience in thermoplastic manufacturing methods and testing is beneficial

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
