    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


    Acquire and manage the necessary resources including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support information technology security goals and objectives and reduce overall organization risk.

    Advise senior management on risk levels and security posture.
    Advise Authorizing Official of changes affecting the organization's cyber security posture.
    Collect and maintain data needed to meet system cyber security reporting requirements.
    Identify alternative information security strategies to address organizational security objectives.
    Oversee the information security training and awareness program.
    Participate in the development or modification of the computer environment cyber security program plans and requirements.
    Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network systems operations.
    Supervise protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered.

    Ensure that plans of actions and milestones or remediation plans are in place for vulnerabilities identified during risk assessment audits, inspections.


    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
    Knowledge of data backup recovery
    Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions.
    Knowledge of controls related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of data.
    Knowledge of laws, policies, procedures, or governance relevant to cyber security for critical infrastructure.
    Knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
    Knowledge of current threat vectors
    Knowledge of client and server operating systems.

    Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:

    Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
    Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
    Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
    Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
    Assisting in the development of new initiatives
