    Tailchasers Barrington Pet Resort is seeking a vibrant, adept, and dependable receptionist to become a valued member of our Lake Barrington team With a legacy spanning back to 1975, Barrington Pet Resort stands as a pioneer in the pet care realm. We're dedicated to providing comprehensive support and thorough training to guarantee your success in this role

    Compensation & Shift Structure

    • $ Tips
    • Monday - Friday | 6:50a - 11:00a or 2:00p - 6:00p
    • Saturdays & Sundays | 4p - 6p

    Position Overview

    Our receptionists have the pleasure of delivering top-tier customer service to our human and furry clients The position requires a strong ability to multitask. This position calls for strengths in multitasking skills, including handling a multi-line phone system, utilizing the reservation program Gingr, responding to emails, and documenting pets' belongings. Expect a dynamic blend of responsibilities, from seated tasks to moving around, managing dogs on leashes, handling items up to 50 lbs, like bags of dog food, and engaging in sanitation duties.     Responsibilities

    • Managing a 2-line phone system
    • Managing email and voicemail inboxes
    • Assisting with receiving & returning pets to their owners
    • Payment processing
    • Office Cleanliness
    • Communication with local veterinary offices
    • Client reservations & profile management
    • In-person engagement with clients visiting the facility

    Requirements

    • US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
    • Self-starter, self-motivated, successful working independently
    • Strong leader in previous work environments
    • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
    • Strong foundation with computer functions
    • Extended sitting
    • Able to pass a background check
    • Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly manner
    • Possess computer skills to handle scheduling
    • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
