    Microsoft Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering ( S CHIE) is the team behind Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission. S CHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions.     As Microsoft's cloud business continues to grow the ability to deploy new offerings and Hardware (HW) infrastructure on time, in high volume with high quality and lowest cost is of paramount importance. To achieve this goal, the Cloud Hardware Manufacturing Engineering (CHME) team is instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery, scale and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware. We are looking for an engineer who is customer-focused with the insight and industry knowledge to envision and implement future technical solutions that will manage and optimize the Cloud infrastructure. We are looking for a Principal Sevice Engineer to join our team.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications:

    · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering

    • 4+ yearsof hands-on experience supporting infrastructure and software solutions.
    • 4+ yearsof experience in a leadership role within the Cloud domain.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

    • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Extensive experiencewith cloud services management and enterprise application integration.
    • Proficiency with Linux/UNIX, Docker, Kubernetes, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and cloud-native services.
    • Deep understandingof High-Performance Computing (HPC) Infrastructure and services critical to EDA tool simulation.
    • Experiencewith Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications and cloud-based services, preferably Azure.
    • Familiaritywith Industry Compliance, Security, and Regulatory Standards: ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST Rev.2, NIST Rev.4.
    • Certificationin one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Azure Solution Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architecture Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate.

    Service Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and managea global team of cloud professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions, roadmap execution, and support.
    • Develop and implementstrategic plans for cloud services, including design, implementation, maintenance, and coordination of the adaptation process.
    • Conduct regular evaluationsof cloud applications, hardware, and software to maximize Engineering productivity and efficiency.
    • Continuous focus on technology improvement, optimization, and processes to increase our effectiveness.
    • Collaboratewith corporate security and governance teams to ensure cloud compliance, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Utilizeadvanced problem-solving skills to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact business productivity.
    • Promotea culture of innovation and creativity and develop a high-performance cloud team.
    • Be able to integrate the latest GenAI solutions into Silicon Development flows.
