- Records all care, education, and procedures carried out under the Licensed Advanced Practice Provider's responsibility in the medical records.
- Makes referrals to other specialties as necessary.
- Consults with other specialties within their area of expertise.

- Demonstrates professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and communication.
- Champions for patients, families, colleagues, and the community.
- Maintains necessary certifications and pursues ongoing education for licensure and privileges.
- Acts as a patient advocate and embodies the philosophy of patient-centric care.
- Engages in relevant unit/departmental/divisional or hospital committees/task forces.
- Implements effective teaching strategies for patients and families.
- Develops and participates in educational programs to address staff's continuing learning needs.
- Acts as a role model and mentor to students.
