- Develop production schedules and workflows to optimize efficiency and meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with designers, sales teams, and clients to ensure clear communication of project specifications and requirements.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or unexpected delays.
- Supervise and motivate production staff, including cabinet production associates and paint associates to achieve high-quality results and meet production targets.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on manufacturing techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of finished cabinetry to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
- Address any quality issues or defects promptly, working with staff to implement corrective actions and prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, hardware, and supplies to support production needs while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
- Monitor production costs and expenses, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Designers and other stakeholders to translate client needs and preferences into actionable production plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to help employees improve their skills and performance.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Proven experience in cabinet making, woodworking, or custom cabinetry production.
- Strong managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- In-depth knowledge of cabinetry construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
