Job summary
We are looking for a talented Optical Network Development Engineer to join our team at AWS Core Networking. As an Optical Network Development Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying and scaling the Amazon networks that support AWS customers across multiple global data centers.The ideal candidate will have excellent business and communication skills to work with business owners and tech leaders to gather infrastructure requirements, design software infrastructure, build up pipelines and test plans to meet business needs.
You should have experience working with optical transceivers and IEEE standards as well as developing test scripts for optics validation and characterization. A Master or PhD in Physics Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
- Develop automated tools and standardized processes for highvolume optical transceiver system level testing
- Lead collaborative efforts with internal stakeholdersand supplier partners to establish robust testing frameworksand quality assurance proceduresfor optical modules
