    Job Description

    Audit & Regulatory Issue Validation Reviews

    • Reporting directly to U.S. Chief Audit Executive
    • Represent, participate and provide status of all IA-related regulatory issues validation activities in key governance committees
    • Perform oversight for Internal Audit (IA) regulatory issues and activities across all business platforms and functions in U.S.
    • Chair of the U.S. IA Regulatory Issue Validation Review Group.
    • Perform independent review of validation approach and conclusion before they are being presented to the U.S. IA Regulatory Issue Validation Review Group.
    • Manage and perform periodic review of the U.S. Regulatory Issue Validation Methodology and Process.
    • Partner with the U.S. Senior Leadership team to ensure that all regulatory-related work are delivered timely and high quality of work.
    • Work closely with the IA Quality Assurance (QA) team over in-progress and completed regulatory issue validation engagements.
    • Provide guidance to business during formulation of action plans to address regulatory findings.

    Leadership and People Management:

    • Provide guidance and effective challenge to the team of auditors assigned to regulatory issue validation engagements.
    • Build a high performing team and develop talent for Regulatory Issue Validation activities.
    • Ensure adequate staffing with adequate subject matter expertise on all regulatory issue validations engagements across U.S.
    • Provides leadership, coaching, performance management and personal development support.

    Relationship Building:

    • Work closely with the central remediation office, U.S. Regulatory Relations group, and all applicable personnel across the 3 lines of defenses to manage and coordinate regulatory issues validation and related activities.
    • Key point of contact to liaise and meet with the various U.S. regulators to discuss status of Internal Audit MRA validation activities.
    • Ensures emerging risks, new developments and regulatory changes are factored into the regulatory issue validation plan.
    • Manage and oversee sensitive situations with high impact outcomes (with stakeholders) that could have material impact on the business
    • Effect change by assisting business management to develop appropriate action plans to address identified deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.

    The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $190,000 - $325,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
