Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with prior charge experience and proficiency in Epic and Siemens systems for a 13-week travel assignment.

Responsibilities
Acute care hospital setting serving adult and ED/trauma patient populations, with pediatric acute care exposure preferred
Scope includes a wide range of MRI procedures: brain, cranial nerves, face, soft tissue neck, orbits, head MRA/MRV; cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic MRA, and spinal trauma; abdomen, abdominal MRA, MRCP, male and female pelvis (abdominal MRV preferred); chest; and musculoskeletal studies including foot, hand, hip/bony pelvis, shoulder, sternum, and upper/lower extremity long bones
Procedures include isolation precautions, prep and administration of contrast media, and starting peripheral IVs
Imaging techniques include Gradient Echo, Spin Echo, MIP, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted images (MRP preferred)
Epic EMR experience required; Siemens and PACS experience required
Schedule is 4x8-hour day shifts: Saturday–Sunday 8:00 AM–8:30 PM and Monday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the minimum experience requirements
Candidates must pass an EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed) during the compliance process — this requirement applies regardless of specialty
Study materials for the EKG exam will not be provided by the facility; candidates should prepare in advance
Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

Requirements
Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience required
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
Current BLS required
Previous charge experience required
Proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment and PACS required
Epic EMR experience required
Experience with adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ED/trauma settings required; pediatric acute care experience preferred
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
License required if applicable
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Copies of certifications and a valid driver's license required for consideration
