Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Rounds Driver in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity.

This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and an armed role requiring sound judgment and clear communication.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, including entrances, ATMs, parking areas, and restricted spaces as assigned, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verify authorization for entry, and assist with key control, badge control, and/or package screening per site requirements.

Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local law enforcement as needed.

Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate observations and trends to Allied Universal management and the client representative.

Minimum Requirements

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Have 1+ years law enforcement experience or 2+ years security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years security experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
