Summary:
With oversight and direction of the Client Accounting Services Supervisor, this position is responsible for all accounting functions for multiple clients.
You will develop and maintain an effective relationship with all stakeholders in the business and be able to communicate across all levels of the organization.
The primary function of this position includes the following: The Bookkeeper will review payroll information received from client is complete and accurate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide full-charge bookkeeping services for multiple clients including payroll, invoicing, A/R collections, and financial reporting.
Tally and enter cash receipts.
Prepare and post journal entries
Assist with month-end close process
Prepare timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports and communicate results to clients in a comprehensive manner
Assist with year-end close process
Assist with sales tax returns
Assist with onboarding new bookkeeping clients.
Prepare supporting documents for annual tax returns and Form 1099-MISC filings
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Associate degree required
3-5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
Experience in a CPA firm is a plus
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, CS Professional Suite Software, Microsoft Word, and Excel; Google Drive, ShareFile, or similar cloud client portal
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and clients
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment:
This job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time
Approximately 90% of this position's duties require use of a computer
Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally
Some travel may be required
Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
Occasionally require evening and weekends for busy season hours
