    Job Description

    We are seeking a Sr. Decision Scientist to support our Fortune 100 client, a global provider of healthcare and retail pharmacy services, in building industry-leading analytics, data, and technology platforms to help reimagine health care. This position will sit within the Consumer Engagement Analytics team and will leverage advanced analytics, experimentation, causal inference, and strategic problem solving to grow our client's product offerings.

    What you'll do:

    As part of a team supporting the organization's mobile app and website, you will be exposed to multiple business units across the organization. You'll partner closely with business partners to:

    • Understand their problems and translate to analytics solutions.
    • Analyze customer journeys to identify opportunities to drive app adoption, engagement, retention, and conversion.
    • Develop personalization capabilities using machine learning to target specific audiences for relevant outreach.
    • Design online experiments (AB testing), measure, and optimize.
    • Leverage techniques like causal inference and MMM to supplement experiments where AB testing is not possible or appropriate.

    A successful candidate will be one which is able to think independently and critically, enjoys ambiguous problems with data, is highly adaptable, and loves to collaborate with both technical and non-technical leaders.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry.
    • Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop predictive models, statistical analyses, data reports and performance metrics.
    • Develop and participate in presentations with business partners to share analyses and drive product strategy.
    • Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various formats.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience utilizing Python, SQL, and Tableau.
    • 3+ years of experience extracting actionable insights from the analysis and interpreting outcomes of complex models to present to business audiences including technical, non-technical, and senior leaders.
    • 2+ years of experience preparing data for analysis, working with data engineering team to create modeling dataset, assess completeness and quality of data, and perform feature engineering.
    • 2+ years of experience applying knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources.
    • 2+ years of experience with experimental design and measurement

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience designing online experiments (AB testing)
    • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members, and senior management.
    • Ability to anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in most areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, experiment design, and predictive modeling and in-depth specialization in some areas.

    Additional Information

    The pay rate for this role is $45 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
