    ***Roles & Responsibilities:***

    The Division of Data-Driven and Digital Medicine (D3M) is seeking a qualified clinical informatics analyst to facilitate translating analyses of real-world clinical data into practice. This role will report directly to the Chief of D3M and is at the interface of clinicians, researchers, and scientists at the Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS). This individual will play a direct role in developing a data science and digital health hub to catalyze translational research as a critical step toward integrating data science and digital tools into clinical practice

    The clinical informatics analyst will lead and support several clinical research projects across divisions of Internal Medicine. This individual will be independently capable of devising research strategy, project design, performing analyses, and interpreting results. He or she will be able to work on a multitude of projects and data from millions of patients across diverse backgrounds.

    This individual will be working primarily with clinical data in the form of Electronic Health Records.

    ***Requirements:***

    Data science and informatics with specific interest in applications to clinical data

    Familiarity with common data model platforms (e.g., OMOP) and clinical ontologies (e.g., SNOMED)

    Natural language programming experience

    Biostatistical and epidemiological study designs and analytical frameworks

    Machine learning expertise for predictive modeling, disease subtyping and other data science activities

    Masters or doctorates in clinical informatics preferred.

    Significant expertise with programming and statistical software experience in R, Python, SQL

    Familiarity with modern database design and operation

    Familiarity with clinical informatics frameworks and Electronic Health/Medical Record data types and ontologies, including ICD-9/10, LOINC, RxNorm, UMLS, CPT codes, etc.

    Familiarity with EPIC EHR systems (Clarity, Caboodle) is a strong advantage

    Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in spoken and written English.
