    This is an onsite position at University Specialty Pharmacy, located at Cherokee Farm close to University of TN Medical Center.

    ***Monday through Friday: 8:30AM – 5PM

    Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist or other supervisory/management-level position in the facility, this position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.

    Complete processing payments through the register
    Actively participates by packing medications for shipment.
    Participates in achieving business goals and metrics for the Ambulatory Pharmacy.
    Prepares inventory reports for pharmacist review to purchase.
    Submits, receives, and places inventory in stock.

    Assists with the reviews and handling of all adjudicated prescription claims to ensure appropriateness of reimbursement, co-pay and related financials and, if needed, as directed, follows up all such claims deemed inappropriate.

    Pharmacy technician certification with a national technical certification organization, such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other comparable state certification preferred but not required.

    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services and drug interactions
