    Job Overview


    Trueline's client, a prominent real estate development and property management firm, seeks an experienced Estimator to join their team in Stamford, CT. This role involves preparing comprehensive estimates and budgets for mid to high-rise residential and commercial office projects.

    Responsibilities


    1. Craft detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
    2. Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
    3. Participate in pre-bid conferences and conduct site visits.
    4. Evaluate subcontractor scopes and analyze quotes.
    5. Generate bid status reports and ensure compliance with specifications and contracts.
    6. Present cost estimates and consider general and special conditions.
    7. Perform quantity takeoffs and input data into estimating software.
    8. Maintain a database of cost codes for historical reference.
    9. Use industry data for accurate pricing estimates.

    Minimum Qualifications


    1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
    2. 7-10 years of estimating experience.
    3. Advanced skills in project estimating, including value engineering.
    4. Proficiency in engineering terminology.
    5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    7. Attention to detail.
    8. Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
    9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software.

    Preferred Qualifications


    1. Experience with mid to high-rise residential or commercial projects.
    2. Familiarity with Stamford, CT real estate market.
    3. Certifications in estimating or construction management.
