    What you'll be doing...

    At Verizon, we are building a world-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization.

    We have begun a comprehensive program to streamline processes, improve systems, realign the organization and add opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth.

    We're finding new ways to add value and provide strategic support. This is the kind of work we do.

    We want to build leading FP&A practices within Verizon, setting the stage to become the place any FP&A professional wants to work.

    Agile is a quick response team that delivers project-oriented work, including ad hoc analysis and special program support.

    We work with all teams in FPAS to understand the strategy and identify opportunities for us to work cross-functionally and deliver innovative solutions.

    We work closely with the delivery teams to deliver on any projects as they relate to their respective capability areas.

    We have a blend of specializations and disciplines from across FPAS.
    Delivering project-oriented work, including ad hoc analysis and special program support.
    Partnering closely with FPAS horizontal support to identify improvement opportunities within FPAS organization.
    Working closely with other FPAS teams on strategic project business unit initiatives.
    Planning and strategizing on projects to drive cross-business unit impacts where appropriate.
    Planning execution and managing to delivery for projects, including communicating with partners in a clear and concise manner.

    Interpreting and evaluating business trends, including budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunities and provide recommendations.

    Designing, developing and implementing methods and strategies to continually improve processes.
    Making decisions and recommendations to ensure the quality and delivery of all the products and services.

    What we're looking for...


    You'll need to have:
    Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
    Four or more years of relevant work experience.
    Experience with SQL and automation tools such as Alteryx, Knime, etc.
    Project Management Experience.
    Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
    Demonstrated knowledge of Excel.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:
    Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
    Experience in telecommunications industry.
    A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
    Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
    Experience in preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    Knowledge of Essbase, Smart View, and/or Tableau.
    Good communication skills.
