    Description


    This position is related to the Polaris technical SEO team which works closely with the Data & Marketing Intelligence competence (D&MI) team.


    As a Tracking Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper deployment of analytics solutions across platforms and devices.

    It requires a combination of developer+analyst mindset.

    Identifying, using, and tracking data will be your daily bread and butter, so your colleagues can work on optimizing user experience(s) and SEO optimization for our partners and clients.

    Your responsibilities are not limited to tracking data You will be trained to acquire SEO skills to support the SEO team when needed and based on your availability.

    Our clients are among the biggest companies in Europe looking to improve their businesses.

    Your colleagues are SEO and tracking experts, UX designers, business consultants, and digital designers.

    We are title/role agnostic not only in D&MI but also in all service delivery programs, in the sense that we cover for each other where needed and are always looking to support and grow our skills together.

    While the job description can evolve over time - the following elements are the core of what this position is about:

    Responsibilities
    Understanding the client data requirements and suggesting improvements, and advancing data tracking concepts.
    Analyzing website data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
    Maintain and ensure a proper implementation of cross-platform and cross-device digital analytics tooling.
    Setting up and maintaining Google Analytics 4 and Server-Side Google Tag Manager for our client's websites.

    Working closely with web developers to implement tagging and data layers in Google Tag Manager, as well as API integrations where needed.

    Server-side tag management with user consent based on the EU GDPR regulations.
    Understanding omni-channel user behavior, conversion data and customer journeys, funnel analysis, and multi-channel attribution.
    Creating customized reports, explorations, and dashboards to track website performance.
    Collaborating with other team members to provide data-driven insights for website optimization and user experience improvement.
    Using event tracking, segmentation, and audiences to create detailed customer journey analysis leading to clearly actionable insights and recommendations.

    Analyse available data to identify and quantify customer behavior and translate this into recommendations for traffic generation, marketing, merchandising, content, and customer service.

    Promote a culture of user-centric, data-driven decision-making, and advocate customer experience best practices.
    Building custom-branded data reports tailored to our client's specific needs.

    Qualifications

    Experience in web analytics, with a strong focus on Google Tag Manager (web and server-side), Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio.

    Experience in working with dataLayers and API integrations.
    Proven experience in analyzing website data and providing insights to improve website performance.
    High-level understanding of digital advertising, cross-channel, and marketing attribution.
    The ability to design tagging strategies, and automate QA analytics tracking.
    Ability to learn new data-tracking tools.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    Ability to work independently and a keen eye for detail.
    3+ years of experience in a data tracking role.
    Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage a large workload.

    The nice-to-haves:
    Experience using Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Snowflake, and PiwikPro.
    Experience using Google BigQuery.
    Proficiency in SQL.
    Understanding concepts of A/B testing.
    On-page, Off-page, and Technical SEO knowledge.
