We re hiring a Design Lead who will own the entire Outlive product experience end-to-end This is a foundational design role very hands-on deeply craft-driven and essential to shaping the future of Medicine 3 0 in digital formThis role exists because Outlive requires a designer who can translate extremely complex medical behavioral and scientific concepts into intuitive elegant user experiences We need a design leader who can shape visual systems interaction patterns and emotional journey of the user across iOS web and future surfaces Our founders operate with high abstraction rapid ideation we need someone who can take abstract feedback this feels flat this should feel more meaningful in precise beautiful design decisions As zero-to-one product Outlive needs someone who can build a design system from scratch collaborate closely with engineering establish an exceptional craft bar set maintain rituals critiques reviews prototyping cycles standups advocate for design excellence help hire mentor designers scale You will define visual interaction language Outlive build systems allow it scale This canvas
Responsibilities
- Absorb existing Figma files product flows scientific frameworks Extend Outlives design language including typography color spacing motion interaction philosophy Rebuild early designs needed meet premium aesthetic usability bar Ship weekly product across features modules surfaces Partner Product Engineering scope refine deliver features Create intuitively behaviorally-aware flows bring Medicine 3 0 life Maintain handoff documentation fidelity Build rituals standards define Outsides culture Collaborate science advisors convert insights UI interactions Participate roadmap development contribute strategic direction Help hire mentor designers team expands What Youll Do Product Leadership Define end-to-end experience Outlive app Translate complex medical behavioral frameworks intuitive UX flows Lead sprints explorations execution Drive clarity simplicity behavior-backed cross-product H Visual Interaction Design Build evolve Outsides UX identity platforms Own typography layout hierarchy motion iconography spatial rules Create calm modern interfaces inevitable intentional Ensure accessibility readability long-term usability Design System Ownership Build create components patterns tokens motion libraries Maintain clear documentation partners ensure consistency scalability features screens Cross-Functional Partnership Work Product Team CEO engineering leaders Collaborate scientists experts integrate insights Participate discussions prioritization strategic decisions Influence workflows prototypes collaboration Set maintain exceptionally high craft bar Help hire mentors designers scale Advocate excellence organization
