    Job Summary

    This role is with a small, well-established and long-standing company that develops innovative laboratory instruments for scientific research. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work autonomously and take on a variety of different tasks outside of your regular duties, to keep things fresh and interesting.

    The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with electrical engineers, scientists, and suppliers to maintain and upgrade existing designs, as well as develop new concept designs for scientific laboratory instruments.

    Job Duties:

    • Apply basic mechanical engineering concepts and processes to the design of new and existing devices - both mechanical and electromechanical products.
    • Develop and maintain all product lines.
    • Work cross-functionally with different teams and organizations to bring products to market.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, take suggestions into consideration, and make suggestions on how to improve operational efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related design engineering field.
    • 5+ years of professional work experience as a mechanical engineer.
    • Experience using Solidworks for CAD design.
    • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics.
    • Knowledge of precision and linear motion.
    • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
    • Experience with machining processes.
    • Knowledge of different material (metals, plastics, etc.)
