    The Role:

    Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead AWS Pyspark Data Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients.     Responsibilities:

    • Create, build, and deploy new AWS solutions in support of data integration and data delivery.
    • Collaborate with technical lead, product owners, architects, and other project team members to create and test robust, re-usable patterns.
    • Understand, diagnose, and resolve technical and production incident issues.
    • Monitor and validate deployments to confirm expected behavior.
    • Collect and implement software application requirements defined by business users, architects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 8+ years of experience as Data Engineer on AWS with good knowledge in S3, Athena, Glue, PySpark, Redshift, CloudWatch
    • Solid experience of AWS services such as S3, Athena, Glue, Spark, RDS, Redshift, Step Functions, CloudWatch
    • Solid experience building solutions on AWS data lake/data warehouse
    • Analyze, design, development, and implementation of data ingestion pipeline in AWS

    Knowledge implementing ETL/ELT for data solutions.

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    The annual salary for this position is between $[100,000 – 125,000] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
