Talent Vision, a Staffing and Consulting Firm, is collaborating with a prestigious charter school in Rochester NY, to fill the position of Co-Teacher. As a Co-Teacher, you will work alongside experienced educators to provide support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs. Your role is critical in ensuring that students receive individualized attention and achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the lead teacher to design and implement lesson plans that promote a student-centered learning environment
• Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to students, addressing their individual learning needs and accommodating different learning styles
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education
• Work closely with the lead teacher to monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
• Establish positive and constructive relationships with students, fostering their emotional and social development
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to create a cohesive team and contribute to the overall success of the school
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and progress
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student performance
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required
• Previous experience working as a teacher's aide or instructional assistant is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with lead teachers, parents, and support staff
• Knowledge of diverse teaching strategies and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual students
• Passion for working with students and a commitment to their academic and social development
• Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing classroom environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and educational technology
• Knowledge of child development and understanding of different learning styles and needs
