    Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00

    Overview:

    Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical services to the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

    We are currently seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join the team at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Rush City located in Rush City, Minnesota.

    Responsibilities:

    The Certified Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for drawing blood, checking vital signs, taking finger stick blood sugars, and assisting with activities of daily living for patients in a correctional healthcare environment. The Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist may also implement orders for diagnostic lab tests, record EKGs, maintain and clean medical equipment, collect data for Quality Improvement programs, and assist the physician with minor procedures as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • Current National Medical Assistant license/certification required
    • Experience in phlebotomy required
    • Current CPR documentation required
    • Corrections experience preferred
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance and criminal background check
    Available Shift:
    • 8 hours per week working 4 hours on Monday and Tuesday OR 4 hours on Tuesday and Friday
    • Schedule: 6:30am to 10:30am w/flexibility to start at 7:00am
