Description
What You'll Get to Do :
Provide support to the Office of Space Launch (OSL) and United States Space Force (USSF) under the Mission Assurance Support Contract (MASC).
The MASC program provides Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), Telemetry Operations and Launch Display System in support of the OSL and USSF space launch capability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain telemetry software tools
Telemetry software configuration and rehearsal/launch operational support at Vandenberg Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
Interact with other agencies providing telemetry data based on mission requirements
Collaborate with other teams on software development projects
More About this Role :
Tasks are not limited to Telemetry Systems and may include other software tasks to support the MASC program such as Trajectory Simulator development, flight software interface development and other utility software development tasks.
You'll Bring These Qualifications :
Education:
Bachelor of Science Computer Science or similar
Experience:
Avionics telemetry processing experience a plus
Required Skills:
Programming Languages C++, JAVA, Python, Matlab, FORTRAN
Agile software development
Object oriented design
Strong mathematics skills
Comfortable using standard Windows and Office tools
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Able to digest new technical information at a rapid pace for practical use.
Appropriate time management capabilities - able to both pace workload and provide feedback to leads on task progress
Eagerness to improve efficiency and streamline work procedures
Current or ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio
Eclipse IDE
Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset (JIRA/Confluence)
Matlab IDE
Real-time programming
TCP/IP, IP multicast programming experience
