    Job Description

    The Director, Telemundo Operations & Technology is responsible for all O&T related costs for Telemundo, including Entertainment, News, Sports, and Scripted Productions. Production Operations includes content management (, ingest, archival, edit), control rooms, studio operations, and set design. The role will report to the VP, Finance, East Cost Production Operations and be accountable to the EVP of Telemundo O&T. The overall financial coverage for the scope of responsibility is $80M operating cash flow. The process includes ownership of the overall cost base as well as management of the rate card / allocation process to productions.

    The Position:

    Operational Finance -

  • Monthly and Quarterly close responsibilities
  • Lead a variety of FP&A matters across Telemundo O&T:Preparation of Telemundo O&T Strategic planning (LRP) and annual budgetLiaising with business and O&T FP&A / operational finance teams to provide quarterly performance reporting for Telemundo and O&T leadership teamsConsolidating monthly pacing & reporting documents for Operating reviews with analysis of key metrics and performance vs. budgetInvestigation and communication of Risks and OpportunitiesLiaising with business development on new product launches, understanding the key terms and supporting as required
  • Business Expert -

  • Become the "go to" person in Telemundo for all matters relating to understanding latest O&T performance and risks / opportunities through:Monthly pacing calls / reporting with various finance and operating teams Understanding key issues in budgets and LRP and providing progress updatesProviding required reporting for NBCU monthly updates with O&T as well as Telemundo
  • Ad hoc projects -

  • Variety of ad hoc presentations / analysis / reporting for management
  • Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

  • Finance professional with 5+ years of PQE
  • Ability to demonstrate FP&A experience
  • Ability to demonstrate operational finance experience
  • Strong PC skills - SAP experience with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with operational partners
  • Ability to tie business and strategic priorities to financial goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast dynamic environment whilst managing competing priorities and ensuring completeness / accuracy of all estimates
  • Flexible and enthusiastic self-starter with an ambition to grow through the role
  • Comfortable working with a mixed and changing portfolio of projects and tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Senior Management
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential data
  • Ability to manage and develop indirect staff
  • This role has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
