    Role Summary:

    The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for building accurate forecasts, managing inventory health, and ensuring catalog productivity for the makeup category, which accounts for approximately 85 million in beauty retail.

    This role requires strong expertise in Excel, an understanding of planning systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    The Demand Planning Manager will report to the direct supervisor and may also engage with business stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Forecasting and Reporting:
    Develop, review, and implement accurate forecasts for financial, production, and strategic planning processes.
    Identify and communicate areas of risk and opportunity in business plans due to internal or external factors.
    Use planning systems, like FutureMaster, to report out forecasts to the team, supervisor, and business stakeholders.
    Provide additional reporting for Finance, typically 3-4 times per month.


    Collaboration and Communication :
    Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance partners to create and adjust forecasts.
    Challenge and refine forecasts based on analytical data, including quantitative (shipments/consumption) and qualitative (marketing, advertising, promotion) demand signals.
    Facilitate forecast consensus meetings to ensure clear objectives and effective decision-making.


    Inventory and Catalog Management:
    Monitor forecast performance throughout the month to identify shifts or trends and minimize out-of-stock risks and excess inventory.
    Manage product catalog and SKU lifecycle, guiding SKU rationalization and reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
    Establish Safety Stock levels with supply planning partners to mitigate supply chain constraints.

    Special Projects and Continuous Improvement:
    Lead or participate in special projects as needed.
    Contribute to pre-budget and budget processes for the brand.
    Issue launch and animation assessments to monitor new product performance.


    Job Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
    Minimum of 3 years of demand planning or related experience.
    Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
    Expertise in Microsoft Excel; experience with other Microsoft applications and report building is a plus.
    Experience with forecasting software systems; familiarity with SAP is a plus.

    The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $30.00 to $37.50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
