Description
Summary:
The position is located in the Clinical Services Department of the Rosebud IHS Service unit, Rosebud, SD .
The purpose of the position is twofold: 1) to function as the Director of Outpatient Services; and 2) to serve as a Physician (Family Practice), providing health and medical care services to patients in
outpatient and inpatient settings and providing consultation to outreach clinics and/or via telehealth services.
Duties:
Provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic health care and medical care services to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Develops and implements short and long-range strategic plans; outlines goals and objectives and manages Outpatient operational budget.
Performs basic physical assessment using techniques of observation, inspection, auscultation percussion, palpation and diagnostic instruments.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Evaluates work performance of subordinates; advise or counsel employees on work and administrative matters.
