    Description

    Legacy Community Federal Credit Union is looking for the right candidate to join our Accounting team as a full time Mobile Deposit Associate. *This position sits in office and is not a remote work from home opportunity.*

    Legacy is committed to assisting our members in the greater Birmingham area. Additionally, we are proud to be the official credit union of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. We want to help our members Craft their Legacy by providing products and services to our members that help fulfill their financial needs. We have been loyal to the UAB and Birmingham community since 1955.

    We are also committed to providing competitive pay to our employees, as well as excellent benefits. We offer health and dental insurance through BCBS of Alabama, as well as company paid Life and LTD insurance. We offer two retirement plans: 401(k) with discretionary match and a Cash Balance Defined Benefit Plan and Trust. We also have 12 paid holidays, 12 vacation days, and 10 sick days for our employees This is a full time position, with the standard hours being Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:45 pm.

    For our Remote Deposit Associate role, we are looking for someone to support the financial management and operations of the Credit Union through maintenance of accounting records and reports. This position is entry level into the Accounting Department.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

      • Verifies accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting information received.
      • Manages Remote Deposit Capture
      • Processes the Share Draft Non-Post Report
    This is an entry level position in the Accounting Department. Teller experience with reviewing checks is highly preferred.

    Experience: One years to three years of similar or related experience.

    Education: A high school education or GED.
