About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Glassmaking Operations Shift Supervisor to join our team. This role will provide supervision and facilitation to a team of operators responsible for the manufacture and measurement of glass preforms and optical fiber.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership, with experience in supervising teams and implementing safety protocols. They will be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Provide supervision and facilitation to a team of operators responsible for the manufacture and measurement of glass preforms and optical fiber
Serve as a champion for safety by demonstrating safe work practices, enforcing PPE compliance, and working to identify and address potential workplace hazards
Understand and apply established guidelines, procedures, and policies
Provides immediate supervision to subordinates to execute operations and meet production targets
Provides daily feedback on individual and team performance
Prepares and provides reports to supervisory chain
Coordinates daily activities of team and support organizations

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (Engineering preferred) with 2+ years of Manufacturing experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience
Ability to maintain positive employee relations and build trust within a team
Committed to providing fair and consistent application of policies and procedures

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $79,166.00 - $108,854.00 per year, assuming full-time status. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and paid time off.
