    Business Development Account Manager
    Cowan Systems, LLC has a strong foundation in the transportation industry, and provides all services a shipper could require.

    We have a network of intermodal locations, a large fleet consisting of 1,500 power units and 5,000 trailers, a full-service logistics division, and warehouses that fulfill distribution needs.

    Cowan Logistics serves as a freight brokerage and is seeking motivated individuals looking to start their career with a growing organization in a steady industry.

    The Business Development Account Manager role is an exciting opportunity within our logistics division, supporting our operations team. We provide on-the-job training, room for growth and advancement within the organization, and a competitive compensation structure.

    Summary of Position:
    The Business Development Account Manager is responsible for securing and developing new and existing accounts from provided leads.

    The position calls for highly motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced work environment as they will be responsible for replying to numerous leads per day and existing customer requests.

    The goal of this role is to continually turn on and grow new business.


    Duties:
    Develop new customer relationships based off of supplied leads
    Build and nurture existing customer relationships
    Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities
    Manage all account communication in a timely and professional manner
    Assist customers in identifying services that fit their needs and provide information on additional services
    Actively manage follow up of leads and existing accounts
    Source capacity to meet customer needs
    Complete pricing requests and customer bids
    Work directly with operations and account management to support customer accounts


    Skills & Requirements:
    Ability to work successfully and professionally in a team-based environment
    Extremely organized and detail oriented
    Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to negotiate rates, sell services, and build professional relationships via telephone and email
    Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, & decision-making skills
    Bachelor's degree preferred
