Job summary
The primary role of the Maintenance Planning Coordinator is to improve power generation work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts time and labor resources.

- Manages all approved work request notifications from the areas to which he/she is assigned ,
- Ensures all maintenance work orders are coded correctly and work scope defined ,
- Estimates jobs showing sequence of steps the number of tradespersons required labor hours for each step lists determinable materials special tools equipment needed reviews with engineering those requiring design coordinates plans works other support crafts business units examines performs walk-downs determines best way accomplish consults requester foreman supervisor necessary obtains blueprints drawings manuals procedures sketches diagrams clarify intent makes additional records purchase requisitions process ensures safety priority maintains backlog files waiting scheduling based priority provide packages assist execution manages preventive maintenance follows ensure completed closed proper time maintains contact planners coordinate complex multi-skill field shop jobs participates weekly meetings operations supervisors concerned responsible develops file standard orders plans packages regularly recurring repair jobs historical experience simplify refine planning assists management periodically providing reports analysis equipment labor cost history recommends system improvement maintains records prepares distributes meaningful accurate control reports leadership performs tasks assignments requested manager process controls
